In 2018, Prashant and Ayesha moved from Gurgaon to Goa after their daughter developed breathing issues. What began as a personal decision soon became a professional one, leading to the creation of The Penthouse Boutique (TPB).
Neither came from a real estate background. Their experience was in law, communications and branding. But over the next seven years, they immersed themselves in Goa's property market, helping hundreds of families buy homes, building a community of over 100,000 followers, earning national media recognition, and facilitating the sale of some of Goa's most iconic homes.
Along the way, they noticed a recurring problem.
Many homes in Goa were being designed as if they belonged somewhere else. Vertical villas, poor ventilation, excessive heat gain, impractical layouts and construction choices that ignored the realities of Goa's climate and lifestyle.
A home in Goa should not be designed like a home in Delhi.
It should embrace natural light, cross ventilation, usable outdoor spaces, durability, and a slower, more connected way of living.
In January 2024, they launched Privado Homes with a simple objective: to build the kind of home they believed Goa deserved.
The result was Villa Komorebi — a home shaped by years of experience as parents, homeowners, real estate advisors and full-time Goa residents.
